UPDATE: Suspect in shooting death of EBR deputy previously arrested for rape of juvenile

(WVLA) - State Police have identified the suspect who allegedly shot and killed East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Deputy Shawn T. Anderson as 30-year old Brandon Wiley of Baton Rouge.

Wiley remains in critical condition at an area hospital. Wiley was an employee of the Classic Cuts barber shop on O'Neal Lane, where the shooting occurred late Saturday night.

According to an affidavit, Deputy Shawn Anderson was investigating an alleged rape involving a 15-year-old girl.

The affidavit said on March 12th, the victim asked Wiley for a ride from another business around the Mall of Louisiana.  Then, the pair stopped at another business, in which Wiley tattooed the victim.  There, after the victim used the restroom, Wiley allegedly grabbed her, used her belt to tie her hands behind her back, then proceeded to rape her.

The victim also alleges that Wiley tattooed her multiple times without the knowledge of her parents, the affidavit said.  Authorities were contacted on March 13th.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office booked Wiley remotely on the charges of first degree rape, tattooing minors, and resisting an officer. State Police have not officially charged Wiley with Anderson's death as of Monday morning.
