CADDO PARISH, La. (KTAL) - A 67-year-old Shreveport man was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of sex crimes against a juvenile.
Jefferson Davis Jr. was also sentenced to 50 years in prison for other offenses, to be served consecutively.
An eight-woman, four-man jury convicted Davis of first-degree rape, sexual battery and indecent behavior with a juvenile in his April trial.
Davis's victim was 9 years old at the time of the offenses four years ago.
