Seven arrested in undercover online prostitution sting

BATON ROUGE, La. (WVLA) - Six women and one man have been arrested on prostitution charges after authorities carried out an undercover sting operation using a number of online websites known to advertise commercial sex. 

Brittany Allen, Tameka Bess, Leah Lee, Jahnai Wilson, Alyssa Champagne and Kenisha Harris have all been booked into parish prison on a count of prostitution. 

DMarcus Brown was booking on one count of pandering.

According to court documents, undercover agents with the Louisiana State Police Special Victim's Unit together with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's office conducted the undercover sting operation at a Baton Rouge hotel on December 12.  After communicating online, the women arrived at the hotel and attempted to solicit money for sex with the undercover agents.

Each of the women were taken into custody.  When authorities attempted to arrest Harris, court documents state she resisted arrest, flung her arms and kicked a deputy in the leg.  She was additionally charged with pandering, resisting an officer and battery on a police officer. 

Brown is accused of transporting a female to the hotel to promote prostitution.  According to court documents, the female admitted to arranging her 'dates' on the website, www.backpage.com, and that Brown transports her to all of her 'dates'.  Brown was booked on one count of pandering.
