MONROE, La. - UPDATE (3/14/18): A Monroe woman has been arrested for accessory after the fact after picking up a wanted suspect accused of shooting a victim.
Shakira Wilks, 23, was arrested on March 13, 2018.
According to the arrest report, Monroe Police responded to a shooting that occurred on Bonner Drive.
Initial investigation revealed that just prior to police arriving, a victim was shot at least 1 or 2 times in the chest area.
Several witnesses identified the shooter as Patrick Criss and a warrant was obtained by Monroe Police for his arrest Tuesday.
As the investigation continued, officers were able to locate the vehicle Criss was transported in as well as the driver, Shakira Wilks.
Per the arrest report, Wilks was taken to the Monroe Police Department. She admitted to driving Criss to the shooting. After the shooting occurred, Wilks said she left and Criss never got back in the car. Several witnesses who were close to the shooting, said Criss got back in Wilks' car and left the scene.
After Wilks and her car ws located at 202 Forest, video footage was located showing Wilks getting out of the car and immediately took the license tag to her car off the vehicle. Wilks said she would not tell investigators where she took Criss because she was scared.
Wilks has been booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center on one count criminal conspiracy and one count accessory after the fact. Her bond has been set at $30,000.00.
Police are still searching for Patrick Criss who has a warrant out for his arrest for attempted murder. If anyone has any information on Criss's whereabouts, you are asked to contact the Monroe Police Department at 329-2600 or Crime Stoppers of Ouachita Parish at 388-2274.

The Monroe Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating an attempted murder suspect.
Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Patrick Criss for Attempted 2nd Degree murder.
Criss was involved in a verbal altercation around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon when he produced a handgun and fired upon the victim striking him in the upper torso.
The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he is in critical but stable condition.
