Monroe man arrested after leaving sex toys at local business

Report says they were left in the Religious section

MONROE, La. - A Monroe man has been arrested after placing sex toys throughout Books-A-Million.

Nelson Lentz, 71 of Monroe, was arrested at his home on Sunday, April 23, 2017.

According to the arrest report, Lentz said the reason he left the sex toys at Books-A-Million was due to a bad experience he had with the business. Lentz said his whole purpose of going to the store was to leave the sex toys.

Employees at Books-A-Million said there had been several incidents where Lentz left the items in the Religious section of the store.

Lentz was observed on video leaving the items in the Religious section of the store. 

Lentz did confirm that it was him on the video leaving the toys.

Lentz has been charged with one count of criminal mischief and one count of criminal trespass/trespassing of real property. He is currently booked at the Ouachita Correctional Center without bond.
