Miss Louisiana places top 7 in Miss America

MONROE, La. (Press Release) - Miss Louisiana 2017, Laryssa Bonacquisti placed in the top 7 last night in the Miss America live televised finals aired on ABC.

She walked away with over $10,000 of scholarship by placing in the top 7. Bonacquisti also won the preliminary talent and the preliminary swimsuit award.

Upon arrival, Laryssa will be excited to share her experience at Miss America, however, due to flight cancellations, she will not be arriving into Monroe today. Miss Louisiana 2017, Laryssa Bonacquisti is a Senior in Mass Communication – Broadcast Journalism at Louisiana State University. Laryssa travels the state promoting her platform: Team Charlotte: Fighting Pancreatic Cancer, a platform that is near to her heart following the death of her grandmother from pancreatic cancer. Laryssa was an intern for Congressman Pete Sessions in Washington, DC and plans to pursue a law degree following her undergraduate studies. Her talent, ventriloquism has allowed her the opportunity to entertain for the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders and open for America’s Got Talent Winner, Terry Fator, as well as Colt McCoy. She is the official hostess for the State of Louisiana and spokesperson for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Vantage Health Plan, Propane Dealers of Louisiana and the Louisiana Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.
