Manhunt underway for Ruston shooting suspect

Man considered armed and dangerous

LINCOLN PARISH, La.- - (11/27/2017) Ruston police are searching for a suspect in a shooting that happened on Monday  evening.

Around 4:39 PM, the Ruston Police Department received a call about a shooting at Clinton Circle and McAllister Street.

When officers arrived they were told that the victim had been shot once in the arm and had been taken to Northern Louisiana Medical Center for treatment.

Detectives have identified the gunman as 22-year-old Brian Milsap.

Police have issued a warrant on one count of Attempted Second Degree Murder for Milsap's arrest. 

Officials tell KTVE/KARD that Milsap, has ties both to Ruston and the Dallas/Mesquite area in Texas.

Investigators say Milsap could possibly be driving a red Ford Taurus with Texas license plate number 6XB-3682.

He should be considered armed and dangerous. Officials warn that if you see him do not approach or attempt to make contact with him.
