FARMERVILLE, La. - Farmerville Police need your help locating a man accused of battering his mother and 10-year-old child.
On Sunday, 12-10-17, Farmerville Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at 604 Hickory Street, in which Ricardo “Chucky” Fields had engaged in a verbal altercation and it became physical with Fields battering his mother and a 10 year old child in the apartment and began to vandalize the apartment.
Fields then proceeded to strike another adult male in the apartment before leaving.
The original female victim would not cooperate with law enforcement when they arrived.
The other adult male then left and went to another residence before calling FPD back and wishing to cooperate and pursue charges.
A short time later, FPD was called again to Old Carr Road, where the male victim had been present and found the male victims vehicle vandalized.
Vashonia Fields, 45 whom was the mother of Ricardo and was the original complainant had came to this location, and vandalized the other victim’s vehicle and tried to strike him with a baseball bat all in retaliation for him pursuing charges on her son Ricardo Fields.
FPD Officers located Vashonia Fields a short time later on a traffic stop and she was taken into custody. Vashonia also made statements that she would have Ricardo harm the police for arresting her.
A short time later, FPD officers responded to Old Carr Road again in reference to an unconscious male whom had been beaten. Upon their arrival, they found a male subject unconscious on the ground.
Witnesses stated that Ricardo Fields had arrived and stated he was going to kill the victim for having his mother arrested.
Ricardo then proceeded to beat the victim with brass knuckles and continued after the victim was unconscious on the ground. Ricardo Field fled prior to FPD arrival, and the male victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for serious injuries.
Vashonia Fields was taken to Union Parish Detention Center where she was booked on charges of Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault, criminal trespass, intimidating, injuring, or impeding witnesses, aggravated criminal damage to property, and public intimidation and retaliation.
FPD continued to seek Ricardo Fields, 27, of Farmerville on charges of:
Attempted first degree murder, Domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, simple battery, simple criminal damage to property, aggravated second degree battery, intimidating, injuring, and impeding witnesses, and aggravated criminal damage to property.
