LSU Police investigates tailgating fight before LSU-Chattanooga game

BATON ROUGE, La. (WVLA) - Every LSU home football game comes with an all day event of tailgating parties. However, during Saturday's home opener, a fight broke out.

Three videos went viral as it captured one man with a purple cast punching another man.

"Most people don't act like this," said Matt Ducrest, an LSU freshman. "This is a rare occasion."

According to another freshman, Earl Mackie, the viral video doesn't represent the university.

"I think it was just escalation that probably happened earlier," said Mackie. "I don't think anyone should hit anyone with a full cast on. That's kind of extreme, but no, LSU is not like that."

LSU Police are currently investigating the case. Anyone with information is urged to contact LSU police at 225-578-3231.
