MONROE, La. - A final stand in the battle for Excellence Academy, tomorrow will be the last chance to keep the school open.
After taking the fight to federal court, Excellence will have a chance to defend their case in a fair hearing with the Monroe City School Board.
The school board decided not to renew the charter for Excellence back in April after a third party investigated the school and said the school wasn't fit to continue.
Excellence officials say they never got a chance to tell their side of the story, claiming much of that report is not true. Now they will have their chance.
The hearing is set for 9 a.m. Tuesday.
We will have an update on this case as soon as it comes.
