Green Awards presented to those who have made significant strides

OUACHITA Parish - Going green can be good for business as well as the environment!

The Annual Ouachita Green Awards honors a volunteer of the year, a community champion and a corporate business that's made significant strides.

Today's ceremony featured a call to help Monroe's beautification in any way, shape, or form.

"So the great thing when people come together and make investments in the community for these types of beautification projects, it's also a tax write-off as well so that has been a great part about partnering with them," David Sorrell, Coordinator at Peterson Industries.

The guest speaker, Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser, wants you to consider volunteering in any way possible.
