Dubach woman arrested on drug charges after traffic stop

UNION Parish - Casey Lane Ferrel of Dubach was arrested over the weekend on a drug-related charge after being stopped for a traffic violation.

Ferrel, 32, was booked into the Union Parish Detention Center early Saturday morning for felony possession of methamphetamine and improper lane usage. Her bond was set at $2,600.

Sheriff Dusty Gates said deputies were patrolling La. Hwy. 15 south of Farmerville witnessed a pickup truck run off the pavement and then swerve back across the double yellow line.

Deputies reported that Ferrel was acting very nervous as she explained the older model truck “was in bad shape.”

Ferrel gave the deputies to search her vehicle and emptied her purse for them to check. Found inside a wallet was a small baggie containing about 1.98 grams of suspected meth.
