OUACHITA PARISH, La. - (1/25/2018) Update: According to the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's office, 14-year-old Ashauria Herron has been located. Here is the statement sent to NBC 10 by OPSO spokesman Glenn Springfield:
"The missing juvenile has been located safe and returned home. Thank you for your help."
(1/24/2018) Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Investigators are currently searching for a missing Ouachita Parish Juvenile.
Ashauria Herron, age 14, was last seen near her residence in east Ouachita Parish on January 23, 2018.
Ashauria is described as a Black female, 5’-2” tall weighing 190 lbs. She has black hair extending past her shoulders and brown eyes. At the time she was seen, she was wearing a gray t-shirt, pink shorts and brown boots.
Video surveillance cameras indicate Ashauria may have left the location with an unidentified Black male traveling in a reddish/orange colored Chevrolet SUV (possibly a Traverse or Equinox) and may be traveling with him.
Ashauria Herron may be also accompanied by a friend, Shakeria Belton, of Monroe. Herron is believed to have been seen with her earlier Wednesday (1/24/18) in Monroe.
Anyone with any information concerning the whereabouts of Ashauria Herron or the identity of the unidentified Black male (surveillance photo shown) is asked to contact the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office at 318-329-1200.
