FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KARK) - Things got a little wild at a local church Monday night after a deer crashed through a window.
It happened at the First Baptist Church on Dickson Street.
The surprise visitor caused some damage to one room before Animal Control officers arrived and safely tranquilized it, taking three darts to get the job done.
"We had a call several years ago where one got into a house, but you know, it's not very common. We do have quite a few deer, so hopefully it won't become a more common problem," said Tom Rankin, with Fayetteville Animal Services.
Animal Control officers took the deer to a more secluded area of Washington County. They said it took hours for the deer to wake up, but that it was never in any danger.
