MONROE, La - The Monroe Police Department will be holding a Blue Mass service tomorrow as part of National Police week celebrations.
The service will be in honor of those who have fallen in the line of duty.
It will take place Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Jesus the Good Shepherd Church in Monroe.
The public is invited to attend.
In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15 falls as National Police Week.
