Accused Grambling University shooter Indicted, arraignment date set

LINCOLN Parish - The Grambling student that was arrested for a double homicide on Grambling State University's Campus has been indicted.

Jaylin M. Wayne, 19 was indicted November 8, 2017 on two counts of first degree murder.

Wayne is accused of fatally shooting 23-year-old Earl Andrews, a senior at Grambling, and his cousin, 23-year-old Monquairious Caldwell, not a student at Grambling.

Wayne’s arraignment date has been set for November 21 at 9:00 a.m. in Lincoln Parish.

According to Lincoln Parish District Attorney John Belton, they are waiting for the final police report before deciding if they will seek the death penalty in this case.
