UPDATE: 2 Crossett Police Officers Fired for Allegedly Entering School, Stealing Milk

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KARK) - In an unusual series of events, two Crossett Police Officers have been fired from their jobs and face possible decertification and criminal charges.

On March 13, the Crossett School District Superintendent says Michael Row and Brandon Watt are seen on surveillance video coming into one of the district's school through an open window. Officers say that they took a single carton of milk.

Investigators confirm that it happened around 1:00 a.m.

The Crossett Police Chief says the men were on duty at the time. They are still investigating the reason -- if any -- why the officers were in the school. Officials say there was no sign of vandalism.

Row, who has been with the department for about six months and Watt for about three years, have been fired. The Chief said he has put in a request to have them decertified.

The Crossett School District worked with the Crossett Police Department during the investigation, wanting to know all the facts and to conduct a thorough investigation before making a decision for criminal prosecution. At the end of the investigation, the decision was made to send a case file to the prosecutor for review of criminal charges.
