Air Force Band Performs in West Monroe

WEST MONROE (KTVE/KARD) -- At the West Monroe Convention Center Thursday night, folks were treated to a musical performance from the 531st Air Force Band.

Made up of members of the Texas Air National Guard, the band played and sang a variety of melodies from the sounds of John Philip Sousa to the movements of Motown before a crowd of more than 100 people.

Named the Official Band of Texas by the state's governor, Rick Perry, the band's mission is to travel across the country fostering pride in our nation and our armed forces.

The band is stationed in Fort Worth, Texas.
