Clement Industries is expanding its workforce by adding 20 welder jobs. These additional welder jobs will allow the company to reduce a current six-month backlog of work orders. LED FastStart® – the nation’s top-ranked, state workforce development program – will support the event.
To be considered for employment, candidates must be 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen and drug-free. Candidates must have reliable transportation, at least some welding experience, and they must be committed to abide by attendance requirements. All candidates must pre-register at www.louisianawelderworkshop.com.
LED FastStart will provide a customized, 60-hour Flux Core Arc Welding – FCAW – training course to support the skills development of selected participants.
During the job fair, company representatives will select candidates to attend the Clement Industries FCAW training course at the Minden campus at no cost for candidates. The training will begin June 16, and classes are scheduled from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday for a three-week duration. Upon successfully meeting the FCAW training course requirements, Clement will immediately evaluate the successful candidates to fill open entry-level welding positions. All offers for positions are contingent upon the candidate successfully passing a drug screening and a physical exam.
