**Update**Additional Federal Charges For Downsville Man

On Thursday June 19, 2014, Homeland Security Investigations charged Golden with production of child pornography and distribution of child pornography.

OUACHITA PARISH - On June 5, 2014, investigators with the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations and Homeland Security Investigations arrested 52-year-old Michael Golden of Downsville for 2 counts of child molestation. The arrest was the result of an investigation of a website that traffics in child pornography.

During the course of the investigation, investigators were able to link Golden to an account on a website that is used to trade child pornography. During questioning Golden admitted to his involvement on the website. Golden also confirmed to investigators that he had another account on the same website and he is in communication with other members of the website. Through investigative techniques investigators were able to uncover evidence of Golden molesting two young children while they were in his care.

Golden was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center. If convicted on all charges, Golden faces up to 198 years in prison and must serve 50 years without the benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.

This investigation is ongoing and the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations is continuing to work with Homeland Security Investigations regarding the case.
