UNION PARISH (UPSO) -- A tip to Crime Stoppers of Union Parish led to the arrest of a Spearsville resident on a drug charge over the weekend.
Parish deputies received the call on Friday in reference to a vehicle transporting narcotics that was headed toward Farmerville.
Deputies spotted the vehicle on Louisiana Highway 2 and initiated a traffic stop of the black Mazda car driven by a white female in the back parking lot of McDonalds in Farmerville.
Deputies received permission to search the car from the driver and found two grams of suspected methamphetamine.
The male passenger, David J. Hicks, 18, told deputies that the meth belonged to him.
