Convicted Murderer Escapes From Pine Bluff Prison, Search Continues

Pine Bluff (KARK) -- A convicted murderer escaped from prison at the Pine Bluff Unit of the Arkansas Department of Corrections over the weekend.

The Arkansas Department of Correction horseback team has joined in the search and vehicle checks are being done in the area in effort to locate convicted murderer and escapee, 47-year old Timothy Buffington.

Buffington may also go by "Bo" Buffington. According to the ADC Buffington is 5'6'', weighs 182 pounds and has a tattoo on his right wrist.

ADC records show that Buffington was convicted in Logan County of first degree murder in 1999 and is serving a 20 year sentence.

Buffington should be considered armed and dangerous.
