5th Tallulah Murder Suspect Arrested in Arizona


State Police say the fifth suspect wanted in connection with the murder of Jamary Quincy Wafer in Tallulah April 13 has been apprehended by authorities in Arizona. No further details on the arrest have been released.

The Madison Parish Sheriff's department has three of the five suspects extradited back in Louisiana custody. Brinkley is expected to be extradited back to Tallulah as well to stand trial.

Zealand Adams of Washington, Antoine Newton of Texas, and Joshua Walker all remain in jail without bond charged with 2nd degree murder.

Another suspect, Kyle Everhart is still awaiting extradition and is currently being held by federal authorities in Washington state..


TALLULAH (KTVE/KARD) -- Three of five suspects connected with a Tallulah murder back in April have now been returned to Madison Parish.

Madison Parish Sheriff's Office detectives said 28-year-old Zeland Adams of Washington, 34-year-old Antoine Newton of San Antonio, TX and 25-year-old Joshua Walker of Washington have all been returned to Madison Parish custody.

28-year-old Kyle Everhart is still in a Washington prison.

The fifth suspect, 25-year-old Harold Brinkley, remains at large.

Brinkley’s last known residence is in Dallas, Texas. Brinkley has ties to California, Washington, Arizona and New Mexico. 

Brinkley uses the alias “Yella Boy.” 

Brinkley is considered dangerous. Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Brinkley is asked to call their local authorities. 

All five are wanted for the murder of 27-year-old Quincy Wafer of Washington, who was found dead and burned April 14th near the Tallulah Days Inn.

Louisiana State Police said the five suspects and the victim were transporting drugs to Alabama and made a stop in Tallulah.
