Rae'ven Jackson

Rae'ven Jackson is honored to join the KTVE NBC 10 and KARD Fox 14 news team, co-anchoring the Morning Show.

 

Born and raised in the growing south Louisiana town of Prairieville, she is excited to be joining us in West Monroe and beginning her on-air career in her home state.
Rae'ven interned with WBRZ Channel 2 Morning News Team her junior year of college. Shortly after graduation she joined WBRZ as a production assistant
 and an editor of the 5PM and weekend newscast. She spent her spare time in the newsroom and the field shadowing the weekend Anchor/ Reporter
and reading scripts on set in between shows on the weekends. That same hard work and determination is what landed her here 
just 7 short months later, co-anchoring our morning show.

 

Rae'ven is a graduate of The Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. with a B.A. in Communications and a focus in Broadcast Studies. During college she hosted and 
produced a regional talk show titled "Let's Talk" with Rae'ven Nicole, which highlighted positive and inspiring stories around her community. Her goal is to inspire lives,
create and tell stories that evoke positive change, and bring light to the community. She feels compelled and purposed to bring that same inspiring journalism
to the Arklamiss!

 

She is a proud member of BRAABJ (Baton Rouge Area Association of Black Journalist) and The National Association of Black Journalist.
In her spare time you will find Rae'ven singing, journaling, shopping, watching the latest movies and spending time with her family and friends!
