Wine Over Water

The 9th Annual Wine over Water takes place along the bridge over beautiful Bayou DeSiard in the center of the ULM Campus. Enjoy food provided by local restaurants, wine, and musical entertainment by Funk de Ville. Proceeds benefit the “Spirit of the Warhawk” Scholarship.

The City of Monroe is pleased to announce DELTAFEST, Northeast Louisiana's premier music festival, is returning to the Monroe Civic Center Complex. The 2014 lineup brings a mix of performers for music fans of all types. Featured band is the Heads of State, including Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant.

Biedenharn Museums and Gardens presents: Garden Symposium and Plant Sale
Time: 9:00 am-5:00 pm
Friday's Symposium features three programs and early access to the Plant Sale. Speakers include Jeffery Carbo, Charles Allen, and Catherine Strange. The Plant Sale will resume Saturday and offers a variety of unusual and hard to get plants from last year's supplier Heidi Sheesley of Treesearch Farms, Houston, TX. These include Bletilla strata the ground orchid , Stokesia laevis 'Peachie's Pick,' Hiromi Cherry, Byzantine Gladiolas and the much requested Peggy Martin Rose. The Biedenharn Museum will offer Staghorn Ferns, Walking Iris, night blooming ceres, bromeliads and more from cuttings and plants from ELsong Garden.

Ballet Under the Stars

The annual Ballet Under the Stars is set to take stage at the Ballet Amphitheatre in beautiful Kiroli Park in West Monroe. This unique venue and ballet will offer new, original choreography in popular venues of dance created by some of your favorite choreographers. The Sunday, April 27th is a “Gift Back to the City” with only the park entrance fee per car.

Holy Kiroli: It's A Zoobilation Celebration!

Ryan Treecrest is back and bringing you this year's Kiroli Park performance! Join Ryan as the dancing park animals return (including last year's "Dawg" winners), challenge the animals from Louisiana Purchase Garden and Zoo to a dance off! This high energy performance will also bring back those hilarious judges, as well as the zany zookeeper, Zane. Children and adults alike will enjoy this fun, interactive performance based on everyone's favorite dance and singing competitions, "So You Think You Can Dance" and "American Idol."
