EL DORADO -- Superintendent, Jim Tucker, kicked off the first school board meeting of this school year.
He says every Superintendent gets a mentor for their first year serving.
The previous Superintendent, Bob Watson, will serve as his mentor.
Tucker says his first order of business is to pick up right where Watson left off, with the school construction projects.
"We have several construction projects going on throughout the district that Mr. Watson started. Our main goal right now is to get those finished up before school starts. We'd like to have those finished up by August 1st so teachers are able to get into those schools and get things lined out and get ready for the first day of school," says Tucker.
Tucker has been with the El Dorado school district for 8 years.
