MONROE, La. - Roxanne Smith with PAWS of Northeast Louisiana joined us on Louisiana Living to present our pet of the week, Rye!
Rye is a 10 to 12 week old puppy that loves to play and cuddle.
He has a very unique story. Rye was found by a homeless man in the ditch in front of Walmart. He walked him down to River Cities Humane for Cats. When the Humane Society of Monroe went to pick up Rye, he was very sick, so they took him straight to the vet. Rye was diagnosed with Parvo and was treated at McClendon Veterinary Clinic. Rye is a Parvo survivor!
For more information on adopting Rye or one of the many other babies, call (318) 387-9553 or visit www.bayoudogs.org.
The Humane Society Adoption Center of Monroe relies on donations to continue their life saving efforts. If you would like to help, donations can be made directly to McClendon Veterinary Clinic at (318) 812-1825 or mailed to 920 Freight Drive Monroe, La 71203.
