EL DORADO -- In El Dorado, a new war monument was dedicated today.

The idea came from El Dorado High School student and boy scout Robert Lehew, as a way to fulfill his eagle scout service requirement.

Lehew came up with the idea as a way to remember those who've served in the gulf, afghanistan and iraq wars, from Union County.

Instead of individual names, the monument simply lists the conflicts on one side, with a heartfelt quote on the other.
