West Monroe Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series to Extend into June

West Monroe -- The West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce and the City of West Monroe are pleased to announce the extension of the West Monroe Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series.

Due to the overwhelming success and popularity of the concert series, it has been expanded for two weeks in June, taking place on Wednesday, June 4 and Wednesday, June 11, 2014.

The last regularly scheduled concert of the season was set to be held on Wednesday, May 28. That concert will feature area performer Rickey Pittman.

All Brown Bag Lunch Concerts will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at the Pavilion at Seventh Square in West Monroe, located directly behind the West Monroe Farmer’s Market. The additional concerts will feature the Excelsior Jazz Trio on Wednesday, June 4 and Josh Madden on Wednesday, June 11.

The West Monroe Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series is presented by Centric Federal Credit Union and Ouachita Valley Federal Credit Union. Programs of the West Monroe Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series are supported by a grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council as administered by the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council.

The concerts are free to the general public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch while they enjoy various musical performances. Chairs and complimentary beverages and snacks will be provided. The Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series will continue on Wednesdays in September.
