Project 41 Hosts Walk for the One

West Monroe -- (Press Release) A local organization is making a statement this weekend by hosting a one-mile walk/run with emphasis on the number one. The significance of the number one is the basis of everything that Project 41 stands for.

“Project 41 is an organization that exists to fight against sex trafficking, prostitution and pornography,” said Lindsey Nadler, one of the Project 41 founders. “We seek out, minister to, and rescue women in Ouachita Parish who are enslaved and exploited by these practices. These are local women and are more than a statistic. No one is looked over and every one matters.”

Walk for the One is this Saturday, July 19 at Kiroli Park. Registration opens at 7:30 am and the walk will begin at 8:30 am. There is a $10 entry fee for each person 13 years of age and older, $5 for kids ages 5-12, and kids under 5 are free, with 100% of proceeds going towards Project 41. Participants are asked to wear a white shirt with a red one on it in order to symbolize “walking for the one.”

Project 41’s mission is to rescue the one, value the one and transform the one by the power and love of Jesus Christ through outreaches to motels, prisons, detention centers, truck stops, and other areas of our community where women in the industry work. They exist to bring complete transformation to our community one soul at a time.
