Baton Rouge -- Medical marijuana won't be available in Louisiana.

The Senate health committee voted 6-2 Wednesday against the proposal.

State Sen. Fred Mills’ bill would set the rules and regulations for its dispensing and distribution.

Attorney General Buddy Caldwell and law enforcement officers were not in favor of the bill.
