NBC NEWS (KALB) -- Since January, the Journal of the American Medical Association has reported a nationwide shortage of IV solutions, used for various needs at hospitals and clinics.
Though the exact reason is unclear, the FDA puts some blame on the recent flu season.
Patients of one rural clinic in Louisiana are feeling the effects of the shortage.
